📚✨ Read Across America Week is Next Week!✨📚 We are excited to celebrate the joy of reading all week long! Students will have the opportunity to participate in special dress-up days as we promote literacy, imagination, and a love for books across our school. We can’t wait to see everyone join in the fun as we celebrate reading together! ❤️📖

Our Pre-K students continued their Community Helpers unit in the library today by learning all about bakers and the important work they do! 🧁 Then students put on aprons and baker hats and iced their own cupcakes to enjoy at break! Sweet learning and sweet treats made for a wonderful day in the library! 💛✨

Oh, the places they’ll go! 💙📖

Our 4th grade students had so much fun in the library reading How to Catch a Snowman! ⛄📚 After the story, they worked in groups to create their own snowman trap designs and even came up with clever ideas to lure the snowman in. Such a fun way to mix reading, creativity, and teamwork! ❄️✨

Our sweet first graders did an amazing job performing at our PTO Valentine’s meeting! 💘🎶 Their smiles, songs, and sweet hearts made the night extra special. Thank you to our teachers for all your hard work and to our families for coming out to support our students! 💕✨

Pre-K Enrollment is open until March 13th. We will have a random drawing at the Cullman County Board of Education Boardroom on March 27th. Additional information is included on the flyers below.

📚✨ Fairy Tale Fun in the Library! ✨📚 Kindergarten and 1st grade have been exploring fairy tales the past couple of weeks, and today they began their brand new library stations! 🏰🐷👑 Students are combining reading and STEM as they: 🧱 Build scenes from fairy tales on the LEGO wall 🎭 Use puppets to retell the stories 🤖 Program a Blue-Bot to travel through the story in order These hands-on stations help students practice sequencing, problem-solving, teamwork, and retelling skills—all while bringing their favorite fairy tales to life! 📖💡

📚⚾ Lillie’s Library Challenge is here! ⚾📚 From February 9th – March 6th, students can participate in Lillie’s Library Challenge for a fun reward! ✨ Read 4 books and color in each base on the bookmark. Teacher will sign the bookmark. 📲 Parents will then scan the QR code to redeem the prize. 🎟️ Once parent tickets are purchased, two FREE Birmingham Barons tickets will automatically be added to the cart! Let’s read and hit a home run! 📖⚾💙

First grade coders are back at it—more Blue-Bot fun in the library!

Mrs. Brock's class was collaborating, coding, and thinking like programmers with Blue-Bots today!

Mrs. Latham's class was working together in the library today, coding their Blue-Bots! Teamwork, problem-solving, and lots of critical thinking in action.

Kindergarten and first grade learned to code Blue-Bots this week in the library! They practiced giving simple commands and had lots of fun learning together. More pictures to come as we continue using Blue-Bots 😊
