This is a group of our CATA students from Welding and Utility Line Worker achieving their Heavy Equipment Bulldozer Certifications through Wallace State Hanceville Skills for Success program. We are proud of these students. We have had over 50 students earn their Heavy Equipment certificates this year on the Excavator, Bulldozer and Skid Steer. The future of our students is bright! We are super proud of these young men!

🎉 Congratulations to Christopher Putman for receiving the Weston Montgomery Memorial Award! This meaningful award is presented each year to a Precision Machine student in honor of Weston Montgomery, a former CATA Precision Machine student. The award was presented by Weston’s mother, Misty Thomas, in a touching tribute to her son’s memory and passion for the trade.

🎉 Congratulations to our 2025 Community Service Award Winner, Shayla Colchado-Reza! Shayla is a Health Science student and a senior at Vinemont High School. Her commitment to serving others and making a difference in the community truly sets her apart. A special thank you to Freedom Insurance for sponsoring this award. Shayla was also recognized as the Chamber CTE Student of the Year — an incredible honor and a testament to her dedication and leadership. Way to go, Shayla! 👏

🎉 Huge congratulations to Natalie Herron and Faith Freeman! 🎉 These two amazing Educators in Training students were recognized at the Alabama State Board of Education meeting in Montgomery for their 1st place finish at the State Future Teachers of Alabama Conference! 🏆 They also had the exciting opportunity to meet Dr. Eric Mackey, State Superintendent, and other top educational leaders from across the state. We’re so proud of their accomplishments and bright futures in education! 🍎📚
